DescriptionSaturday 21st August will be upon us before we know it and we’ll be ask to play our part and do the democratic thing and put pen to paper and vote for who you want to run our country. Though who are we voting for Really for and What are we actually getting????? And though some saw the great debate lastnight agree, opinion is mixed on who came out on top. But all agree it was a lacklustre affair. Galaxy poll showing one in 10 Australians are undecided about who they'll vote for. Ask yourself WHY, transparency is a great place to start for both sides. No one wants to reveal all their cards or that their cards are blank and all we are seeing is media spin. Who cares about someone’s swimming costume(budgie smugglers), kissing babies, talkfest’s and false promises. 1. What are you real policies and how do you intend to deliver them, if you can’t lay everything out on the table, you have something to hide and I’m not buying. When we by a eg: car, house, TV for the most part we know what we’re getting, we can see the benefits, functions and weigh it all up and say “Yes that for me” I can say with hand on heart, after spending many many years in the media myself across TV, radio and press, i see the same sensationist headlines and a grab for ratings are running wild many are accepting this as the norm. Me personally I say enough is enough, if you feel the same he’s a few thoughts. 1. When you hear or read something you disagree with, don’t just accept what is being asked : demand the hard questions be asked and answered - no if no buts. if they won't answer the question - buyer beware. 2. As Gary Schuller often say’s “As one person, you may not be taken seriously, though we are not one we are many being breyk-throo”. 3. We have the power to make change, we can write, email, call television & radio networks and complain, use breyk-throo connections, twitter, facebook any other social media means to shut their shows down. 4. Use your sphere of influence – who do you know that feels the same way and Act Now. In the end we all want a similar outcome, a Government that will deliver on what it says. -
